*As the roof leaked*...  By Hamza A.   _When we sit with sincerity and love in our hearts for God, we become receptive to receive what God sends us from within_ *Sant Rajinder Singh* Sure no one is perfect in life except God and for whoever is working towards bettering the lot of humanity is NOTHING but a mere pencil in the hands of God. Funny enough, life itself is short. Let us ruminate.  The PSSA we are witnessing today is sure the dream of its founding fathers and not the other way round as it may have been for some time. Anyone who sows yam should not expect to reap cassava, vice versa. Many of us came into the system with the zeal of making positive contributions, but somehow, as a big society of its own, we would not all toe the same line. It could be just coincidence but that has been the struggle particularly when the wrong things become the norm.  For some times now, our students were seen to be too 'lazy' to do things by themselves.  Commandant of Police Secondary School Akure, CSP Sulu-Gambari Abdul, has set up a reform committee aimed at catching and directing the students at their early stage in school.  The committee, which is codenamed PSSA Learners' Support Team or PLST, is to help monitor the activities of the new students, particularly the incoming JSS one who would be resuming in a few days.  The 15-member Committee was drawn from both the Police and the Civilian staff of the school and would be expected to ensure a proper orientation for the incoming students and to guide them in all activities so as not to allow them go astray.  "I believe the mind of the child must be nurtured and reorintated towards a certain attitude and behaviour. We want to programmer their minds towards reading", the Commandant said.  Speaking to PSSAwatch, CSP Sulu Gambari said a team of teachers and police offi

Sulu-Gambari Abdul: A gallant leader

Sulu-Gambari Abdul: A Gallant Leader By Hamza Audu He is a welfare man; a man who simply believes in the growth of the people around him; a man with great ideas; he is greatly concerned about his lieutenants because he believes in delegation of responsibilities so that results are achieved. This is who CSP Sulu-Gambari Abdul is- simply a gallant officer with enviable leadership qualities. When he assumed office in January 2019 as the Commandant of Police Secondary School Akure, his words spoke of his good intentions for the growth of the school. Sulu-Gambari came out in clear terms to make his mandate known. “My students and my staff are my concerns”, he said. And he never derailed in ensuring a better welfare of the students as well as the staff. First, he ensured that the quality and quality of food served the students at the dining became better and how did he achieve this? Sulu-Gambari ordered a whooping increase in the money released weekly for the purchase of food items, wh
